Bangkok - river taxis and more

Each week we post a link to an article in Bangkok 101 and this article is about how using Bangkok’s numerous canals as a means of transport

Original article written by Robin Westley Martin

“Bangkok is bisected by one of the longest rivers in Thailand – the Chao Phraya river – which is approximately 370km long.” (sic)

The Khlong Saen Saep is a way of traveling in Bangkok.

This has a great number of piers to disembark; the Jim Thompson House, Democracy Monument, Golden Mount and a great deal more -

You can change at Pratunam to get another river taxi to the final stop at Panfa Leelard (or simply go shopping at Pratunam). Here’s some video and photographs of a local blogger taking theriver taxi.

Something else to add to your list of things to do if you visit us in Bangkok and we hope that you stay with us at Cape House.
