Thai Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals

The Thai Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (TSPCA) was formed in 1994 by a group of dedicated animal-loving individuals, (led by Kasemkij Hotels and Cape Panwa's owner). In 1997 it was accepted as an affiliate of the UK-based Royal Society (RSPCA).

Over the past 18 years the TSPCA has played a vital role in trying to raise public awareness of animal rights in Thai society

They recently held a seminar on how “Animal Cruelty effects Thailand’s Exports and Tourism Industry”. There is animal abuse throughout the world but if you do choose to visit Phuket we are asking everybody not to take part in activities such as posing with baby gibbons (usually with a nappy on), holding a chameleon, eating shark fin soup and posing with tigers.

Visit Phuket and explore the beauty of its nature – take a trip with John Gray Sea Canoe, visit the Butterfly Garden and the Gibbon Rehabilitation Center.
