The Silver Fox meets Lydia and the Panwa Princess

The Panwa Princess always causes a stir at Cape Panwa Hotel – all eyes turn toward the jetty when the Panwa Princess draws up just to see who will be boarding the luxury yacht that day…
Claire and Gary - who got married at Cape Panwa Hotel
A newly married couple OR a family celebrating a birthday OR a guest redeeming their cruise privilege on their 10th stay with us OR a celebrity OR the hotel owner’s family? The list goes on.

Apart from the yacht, there was another “princess” on the hotel jetty today however - it was Lydia – a beautiful and popular Thai singer. Whilst she was shooting the cover for a local fashion magazine on our jetty  she met an English silver fox – Clive Fox, a regular guest of Cape Panwa Hotel. I think that he was even more surprised than I was that she wanted to have her photograph taken with him.

Wonder when another magazine will come to shoot at Cape Panwa Hotel and decide, on the spur of the moment, to include a foreigner in their fashion spread!

Sapan Hin

photographs used with permission
Sapan Hin, on the South end of Phuket Island, is a plethora of different things.

If you were to look at a Google map you would see a multitude of different photographs taken at the same place  with the many different things this area is.

Kiew Tian Keng Chinese Shrine and Phuket Provincial Stadium are located here, so there are always people around. There is an evening market where local foods can be purchased, and if you are lucky, you might meet the man who plays tunes on a leaf!

The grassy area is a popular place for locals to picnic and is also popular with celebrants on the last night of the Phuket Vegetarian Festival.

The versatile area is a popular venue for events  that completely contrast in nature - be it simple traditional fun fairs or the high-flying Phuket Honda Car Racing Fest.

Then there is the newly built Musical Fountain - whatever next?

Watch this space for more …

Seaside fun for disadvantaged children at Cape Panwa

Recently Cape Panwa Hotel hosted a "fun time" for over 300 kids from the SOS Children’s Villages in Hatyai and Nongkhai provinces of Thailand, many of whom are orphans of the 2004 Tsunami.

The children spent two nights at the hotel and were taken on the Panwa Princess for a trip to the local islands where they enjoyed themselves swimming and snorkelling.

They also visited Phuket Aquarium and the local village.

Kasemkij Hotels first began organizing field trips for the SOS Children's Villages scattered throughout Thailand in 2010, as part of a corporate social responsibility directive from our company's  Executive Director of Khun Tirapongse Pangsriwongse, who wanted to give something back to the local communities where Kasemkij Hotels operate.

A Happy New Year present

Tara and Neil were married on the beach at Cape Panwa and they now have a beautiful little girl called Yasmin...

Now that they have visited us for the tenth time this means that they were entitled to a free Sunset Cruise on the Panwa Princess and they accordingly treated their friends by inviting them along. All in all, with Cape Panwa and Kantary Bay guests there were a total of 25 adults and seven children and all the invited guests had a Privilege Card as well!

A sunset cruise for you

The Cape Panwa Hotel values guest loyalty and nothing demonstrates this more than their popular Privilege Card Program, available exclusively to repeat guests. Privilege Card membership entitles the cardholder to a host of privileges including free meals, excusive invites to cocktail parties, rooms discounts and more.

A new addition to the privileges available a free sunset cruise on the hotel’s new yacht, The Panwa Princess. Available to guests who have stayed at the hotel 10 times or more, the cruise is an unforgettable Cape Panwa experience.

Privilege Card members Chaz and Beth were the first couple to take advantage of this offer having stayed with us at the Cape Panwa Hotel every year for a month and now choosing to stay at our sister property Kantary Bay for three months every year.

Chaz and Beth chose to share their cruise with their daughter and her family, who have stayed with us before as well, and a group of their friends.

Their sunset cruise set off from the beach at Cape Panwa and it took them around the Cape Promthep.

It was full of fun, laughter, hors d’oeuvres, beer and wine – the sunset almost did not make it, due to some inclement weather, but we could not help that!
