Happy Birthday Pavinee

Pavinee, our guest relations officer, features in more photographs in our return guest albums than any other member of staff - it's obvious to all that she loves her job.  Not only is she instantly recognisable to all our guests, but she can speak Thai, English, Japanese and Russian.

Pavinee's birthday was on the 19th of May and 

she is over 25 years old.

Happy Birthday Wacharanon

Wacharanon has been with us for a long time - he joined us in 1998. He started at the Uncle Nan’s restaurant, the Café Andaman and Top of the Reef before he worked in the Lighthouse where he really found his stride.

Simon (his nickname) has an infectious smile and a laugh – well a giggle – that fills the Lighthouse.

We prepared a birthday cake for him to say thank you for all he does for the Cape Panwa Hotel and it was his birthday.

Happy Birthday in August - Somneuk

At the Cape Panwa hotel it is the birthday this month of one of our Senior members of staff – Khun Somneuk who started working with us in 1999!

He is married and has two boys who are 15 and 16 years old.

Happy Birthday in June – Winai

Winai is our happy Assistant Front Office Manager.  He has been with us for 3 years and is a pleasure to work with.  He has worked in 3 previous hotels and his English language is superb – he is even learning sarcasm from Rochidee.

Winai has another name that you may hear in the Lobby and it is his Muslim name – Aman.

His recent photographs, including the one above, are always with the ladies.

However things have changed on the 16^th of April his wife Khun Waew gave birth to a baby boy.  Watch this space for a photograph of all of them.

Happy Birthday in May - Rochidee and Pavinee

We have a number of celebrations this month – including the Royal Ploughing Ceremony and Visakha Bucha Day. These celebrations are cultural but there are two more celebrations that also generate a great deal of enthusiasm here.

One is the birthday of Rochidee our effervescent Room Division Manager. He always has a smile on his face and is always charming to our guests. He enjoys listening to music and his favourite artist being Jennifer Lopez - he avidly collects all her music and all her performances. (If you are very kind to him he will demonstrate some moves).

The second birthday this month is for Pavinee our bubbly and engaging Guest Relations staff.  A favourite of many of our guests and the pleasure of spending time with Pavinee is the fact that she loves coming to work at the Cape Panwa Hotel – and this is immediately clear when you meet her. (Her favourite chocolates are Cadbury’s Celebrations).

Happy Birthday in February - Krittaya

This month is Krittaya’s (Om's) birthday.  In Thailand children are given a long name and a short name  -  Om means embrace in Thai.

Her talents soon began to shine – the meeting group bookings began to run “as smooth as silk” – can I say that here?

The Weddings became very personal and very unique – we now have a part of the beach that we recognise as Khun Om’s corner.

The decorations around the hotel, posters, ideas and concepts began to feel very special. 

Happy birthday Krittaya and thank you for all the things that you give to us at the Cape Panwa Hotel.
