A presentation was
recently given by The Thai Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals(TSPCA) at the Lifestyle Hall, 2nd floor, Siam Paragon.
One focus of the
event was to highlight the need for there to be no rabies in Thailand –
#setzeronorabies – dog licensing, large-scale vaccination and education have
been successful in combating and eliminating rabies in many developed
countries.
Another focus
was on the abandonment of dogs after they are no longer wanted in their home.
“Love Don’t
Leave’ is the tagline that the TSPCA has used to highlight this too common
occurrence, similar to the British RSPCA slogan - "A dog is for life, not
just for Christmas".
At Cape and Kantary
Hotels, we actively support #SOSChildrensVillages and we do not serve foie gras, birds’ nest orshark’s fin in our restaurants and we also stand firmly against the exploitation of Thai elephants for commercial or entertainment purposes.
