Transport in Phuket – Part 2 - Pink Buses

photographs used with permission
The Pink Buses are a wonderful addition to the idiosyncrasies of Phuket  – and are certainly worth taking a ride in – here is a guide.

There are three routes that will take you around Phuket (Route 1, Route 2 and Route 3) – they stretch from the South of Phuket, specifically Sapan Hin, all the way to Supercheap.

Supercheap is the Thai version of a warehouse “super” supermarket – worth a visit to see just to look at  the vast array of items on sale – exotic fruits, tattoo stencils, fruit carving knives and an abundance of beauty products.

Sapan Hin
In Sapan Hin there is a daily market that sells everything from edible insects to ‘1,000 year old eggs’.

Sapan Hin is also home to a dancing fountain, a maritime museum, the Phuket Honda Car Racing Fest and the closing ceremony of the Phuket Vegetarian Festival.

So whilst you are here try a Pink Bus
– you will certainly see a lot more of Phuket!
