Today is Visakah Bucha Day in Thailand.
#VisakahBuchaDay commemorates the three major events in the life of Buddha; birth, enlightenment and death.
Expect the temples to be busy with people ‘making merit’ by donating and a variety of other acts.
Please also recognise that the law in Thailand prohibits the sale of alcoholic beverages.
There are three very important Bangkok Wats to visit on this day
Wat Pho – https://goo.gl/maps/8bUFQCAdPKQ2
Wat Phrathart Doi Suthep – here there is a very long procession in the early evening with devotees carrying candles, incense sticks and lotus buds - https://goo.gl/maps/m9C9UKeagUB2
Wat Phra Kaew – https://goo.gl/maps/rY6qP1NBQrM2
If you are in Bangkok during this time we would like you to invite you to our Italian Restaurant No.43 Italian Bistro and stay with us at Cape House.
If you are in ChiangMai then please think of witness the awe-inspiring spectacle at Wat Phrathat Doi Suthep - https://goo.gl/maps/xLqY3AVBoZR2 - and think of staying with us at Kantary Hills.
