Each week we post a
link to an article in Bangkok 101 - https://www.bangkok101.com/ and this week
we took a look at their article about Bangkok and some of it’s ‘Manic Markets’
- https://www.bangkok101.com/manic-markets-dec-2017/
- original article written by Robin Westley Martin.
Bangkok has so many shopping malls that you are able
to breeze through them without getting too hot. BUT what many visitors come for
are the outdoor markets which are a wonderful splash of colour and are popular
to the Thai people as well.
There are two very popular markets, one has been there for a long time and
one relatively new – there are a lot more
1)
Chatuchak Weekend Market – (http://www.chatuchakmarket.org) is about 30 acres of everything, it is so big they developed an App - https://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/jj-app/id494871089?mt=8
- to help you navigate it. BUT be prepared to get hot and sticky because there
will be a lot of other people there as well!

2)
Rod Fai Ratchada Night Market – this is a retro /
antiques market located near some train tracks and some stalls are actually
inside the vehicles – especially the Volkswagen vans. Location - https://goo.gl/maps/HthXmfHF6qA2
In both
there is a plethora of foods to choose from – we are in Thailand…
